The spirit of christmas is getting stronger day by day!!!! And i finally got time to work on my christmas cards!! This bulk is inspired by 2 challenges:
Combining both challenges, here’s what i created!
The circle pattern paper and owl is like a christmas ornament. To make it look for like an ornament, I added twine, tied into a bow to make it look like it’s hanging off the paper! The background is a subtle wood grain pattern, stamping on in white ink.
Was busy over the weekends mass making the cards. Each card is different! No one owl is wearing the same scarf and the bauble comes in different pattern. Or course, the sentiments vary as well.
I’ll be working on my next mass set soon! Stay tune…
Because of the theme, i took out my blues~ to start working on a card and I made this…
A blue card with a vintage theme! The snow flakes are being pressed on without full ink, to give that rough edge look. I distress the edges of the pattern paper and made the christmas tree look like a tied piece to the card with double bow. Ended the card with a christmas sentiment! Here are some little details in zoom;
Glossed centered piece.
Extra dimension for the sentiments.
Hope you like this card as much as I enjoyed making it for this challenge and it actually reminded me that christmas does not consist of red and green but other colours too! I’m sure gonna incorporate more coloured themes to my following christmas cards!
Well it’s already the middle of November That means christmas is getting closer! Living on an island near the equators means I don’t get to experience winter or snow but I do get a lot of rain and thunder. As i’m typing this, it’s pouring outside! Anyway, here’s to a new challenge by Addicted to CAS:-
Snow doesn’t really mean much here because we don’t get any but I love the patterns of snow! Do you know every snow is different in pattern?? Like our finger prints! How cool right? Before i go off topic, here’s a simple card I made, to kick start the christmas card making soon, i hope...
3d foam is a must have in my craft essentials. Simply pop a few on your card and it gives your card a whole new dimension! Here’s a birthday card I made for the challenge! I thought it would be cute to have a bouquet of flowers tied together with some twine and made a little tag for it.
Here’s a new edition to my card making hobby! HANDMADE ENVELOPES! Decided to make a cute envelope to match this card, got some pattern paper and with my handy scorpal, I wiped out my first handmade envelope! Here’s how it looks;
Had my fun of finally making an envelope successfully! I like how i can customize the look of how the envelope would turn out (: Hope you enjoy the look of the card and matching envelope! Happy stamping and crafting…
Decided to participate in a new challenge called Out Of the Hat Creations! How I found out about this challenge blog was through wordpress blogger Florence. She does amazing work pieces and she’s a pro at crafting for sure! She’s one of designers from this challenge blog and you should check out her creations.
It’s a birthday card for my special cousin that turns 21 this month, what more to celebrate a birthday that falls in summer with kites, birds and blue clouds! Tried my best to make this card as masculine as I could, hope my cousin likes it!
Here’s a new card for lawnscaping challenge #35 ! It’s been a while since I entered a challenge, so decided to do one (: The challenge being:
So I got myself the lawnfawn paper through simonsaysstamp a while ago and i finally decided to use it! Here’s the card I made for this challenge.
The small berry pops over the bigger berry and is glossed up!
Letters using lawn fawn’s paper and glossed up for that dimension.
A little country/summer details to finish the card off.
A matching envelope for this strawberry card.
It’s summer now, so as I was making this card I really wished I had some chilled strawberries beside me to take off the heat! The card has some ‘berry-fied’ sentiments, just to go along with the 2 cute strawberries! The pattern paper brings out the green in the strawberry leaves and the red checkers mimics a picnic mat. Hope you enjoy the card, I had fun colours and piecing it together. Stay cool!
A simple equation of: simple and clean + washi tapes = …
I would say I had lots of fun with this card! I’ve got a few washi tapes and I’ve been wondering what to do with them… and embellish blog came up with the challenge with many pretty inspirational creations by their wonderful team!
Lawnscaping challenge is constantly inspiring me by showcasing all the beautiful card designs weekly, even the simple & clean cards are all so darn pretty! I have to say, the design team is always on the ball! And I simply love their challenges that they host!
Here’s a little detail on the card:
In order for the bottle to look glass-like, I’ve glossed up the bottle! For that clean clear finish, making it look like a real bottle.
